MINUTES OF THE COMMITTEE MEETING OF THE ST AUBINS RESIDENTS ASSOCIATION HELD AT LES BURINS ON THE 28TH MAY 2008 PRESENT: MHP, RJ, AM, SK, GF, GJ APOLOGIES: NS, POW, VK, CT, MN The Parish Assembly of the previous evening was discussed and it was suggested that we keep a careful watch on whether Mr Jackson actually sends the agreed amended report to the States as he said he would. MHP advised that we can check the States website to confirm. It was also suggested that since MJ has 48 hours to remove the data on all the members of the Improvement Group from the internet that we check that once more and report if it is not cleared. The approval of the license for the property Cardington House was brought up. RJ suggested that we should look into how we can get the property "listed" and SK suggested perhaps through the Heritage Trust. The Q & A public meeting was then mentioned and it was confirmed that the hall was provisionally booked for the 10th June. GF volunteered to write the letters of invitation to MJ & SF. It was decided to try and book the hall for June 26th or 30th and the letters sent out asap. It was also suggested that perhaps we should make it a closed meeting i.e no press. There has been some discontent among members about the website and its current status and so it was suggested that we could approach James Martland with a view to assisting us. SK to look into this. SK's reply to MJ re the parking permits was circulated - we await a reply. MHP has heard from SF that she will back us in all objections re Mont de la Rocque. Sean Power has apparently confirmed that the building will NOT go ahead in its Current form MN's conversation with MJ re the bus stop was mentioned. Apparently MJ will be looking into moving it and sorting out the bollards etc. We await some action on this point but GF felt that the movement of the bus stop to outside the taxi office may bring forth some request for a "compensation" . MHP and SK confirmed that they have been watching planning applications closely and nothing has been mentioned about St Aubin in the last 3 weeks. There was no other business and the date of the next meeting will be decided upon when we have a deffinite date for the Q & A evening. The meeting terminated at 7.30. |
